Artist Interview
Name: Tameer Hooper Art Title: Sky Light Collection Dr. G: How long have you been doing photography? Tameer: I've been a photographer for about five years. Dr. G: Why photography? How did you find your passion for photography? Tameer: I remember being a part of my school newspaper, at Wyncote Academy, as the newspaper photographer. That's where I developed my initial passion for photography. Dr. G: Do you have a long-term goal or vision for your art? Tameer: Yes! I want to be an international photographer and have the opportunity to expand my love for photography. Dr. G: How about this collection Tameer? What was your inspiration for this set of artistic images? Amazing job, by the way! I truly enjoyed diving into the intricacies of the photos. Tameer: Thanks Dr. G. I really enjoyed shooting this collection. The Sky Light Collection was inspired by an art mentor of mines who taught me to always pay close attention to the small details. As a scholar and artist, I truly embrace trying new things and constantly learning from other photographers to expand my own artistic skills. Dr. G: That's dope Tameer. Last question, where are you now and what are you doing? Tameer: Currently, I am a student at the Community College of Philadelphia studying photography. Dr. G: Thanks Tameer for sharing your art with us and it has been a pleasure to hear about your story and the inspiration behind your work. Again, this is a beautiful collection. I wish you the best in all of your future endeavors and we all look forward to seeing more of your artwork! Tameer: Thanks for the opportunity.

Nothing like an Ethiopian dining experience to bring your family closer together. If you haven’t tried it, then I recommend that you pack up the clan and enjoy an African-inspired night of dining.
